Perhaps it’s a statement on my childlessness or maybe my youthful vision that has brought me to this work... who knows... one thing I do know I have always loved little things. The tiny Barbie shoes, hangers and miniature suitcases fascinated me more than the dolls themselves. Then again it could be attributed to the summers spent working at Miniature World where I sold tiny things for tiny collections.
“Little Creatures” is a collection of images taken of such tiny toys, so curious, so friendly, so strange.

Shot in the style called TTV or Through the Viewfinder with a combination of 50’s era cameras; the Kodak Duaflex and Argus 75. The images are captured digitally as seen through the viewfinder and image screen of the old box camera, complete with dust and shallow focus.
I have created quirky images of these creatures as an intimate portrait... an insight into their own charater as dipicted by the setting.
